HOW WE SUPPORT THE HOMELESS
The American Women Against Sex Trafficking Nonprofit Government Organization or AWAST is raising awareness for sex trafficking within women additionally raising funds to help investigate and rescue sex trafficking cases. For specifically the homeless, a portion of the funds donated goes to helping women and children getting off the streets. We have partnered with Hope For Women homeless shelters all across America to help inform and provide security for women and girls. We provide security by providing these less fortunate women with things such as clothing, food, shelter, and self protection tools. Commonly, homeless children and women are known to resort to 'survival sex' within the first 48 hours of being homeless. 'Survival sex' involves these women and even children participating in sexual intercourse for food, protection, clothing or shelter. Furthermore, these women are put in such a venerable position and become a much easier target for sex traffickers. This is exactly why we provide these services for the homeless. Feel free to email us if you have any recommendations, questions, or business inquiries: email@awast.com.

HOW WE SUPPORT CHILDREN IN THE WELLFARE SYSTEM
The American Women Against Sex Trafficking Nonprofit Government Organization or AWAST is raising awareness for sex trafficking within women additionally raising funds to help investigate and rescue sex trafficking cases. AWAST supports children in the welfare system by informing them on the true dangers of the streets. A big issue is these children in foster care running away from home. Of course there is situations where they are not in a good situation at foster homes but this is why we do what we do. A lot of these children face neglect and abuse at these foster homes which is why we have partnered with the America Against Child Abuse Association or the AACAA. AACAA provides resources to look into when any child not just children in the welfare system are being abused. It also gives the general population things to look out for to notice if a child is possibly being neglected at home and step you can take to ensure these children will be safe. The portion of funds given to the AWAST is going towards money for programs kids can enrol in extra curricular activities. Things such as athletics can be quiet expensive and hard for a less fortunate child however it creates a better environment for the kid to feel less isolated. When they are apart of a team it can be proven to reduce the signs and symptoms of depression and stress which could cause a child to run away from home. Our main goal is to keep these children from running away however, if they are in an unsafe situation we want them to get help rather than going to the streets where they become more vulnerable to getting sex trafficked.
