The American Women Against Sex Trafficking Nonprofit Government Organization or AWAST is raising awareness for sex trafficking within women additionally raising funds to help investigate and rescue sex trafficking cases. With the funds, we would be helping to provide necessities to those at risk, providing more/better security, as well as many other helpful tools. For the homeless, we will provide information on shelters and resources they can use if they need to get out of a bad situation. For foster kids, we would provide ideas for the parents on getting the kids involved in things such as athletics and other extra-curricular activities. Additionally for the general population, AWAST would help inform and provide information about sex trafficking and strategies to avoid getting trafficked, or what to do in that situation. Our blog is an awesome way to discover the latest security items as well as recent news letters surrounding women's safety and sex trafficking.

Sex Trafficking happens every single day in every zip code in America. The most targeted and at risk are girls in their early teens who are vulnerable etc. homeless, those who have previously experience exploitation and abuse, and youth in foster care. 50% of all victims are under 18, the average age being around 12-14 years old. Homeless youth specifically girls engage in some sort of sexual explotion within the first 48 hours with the stats showing 33.3%. However, this is more so referred to as 'survival sex' because they are essentially trying to get food, protection, clothing, or shelter. Additionally the porn industry has also caused a major problem with sex trafficking. According to CSEC 10% of all pornographic images are of a child. Additionally over 100,000 pornographic websites offer some sort of child pornography
